How to Prepare for Your First Tattoo Session
Planning to get your first tat?

Getting your first tattoo is exciting, but a little preparation can make the experience much smoother.
Before your appointment, get a good night's sleep and drink plenty of water.
Being well-rested and hydrated helps you stay comfortable during the session. It's also important to eat a proper meal before you arrive. Getting tattooed on an empty stomach can leave you feeling tired or lightheaded.
Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment. It can increase bleeding and make the process more difficult. If the area being tattooed is sunburnt, irritated, or injured, let your artist know beforehand.
Wear comfortable clothes that allow easy access to the area being tattooed. If you're getting a tattoo on your arm, wear a sleeveless or loose-fitting shirt. If it's on your leg, shorts are usually the best option.
Don't be afraid to ask questions. A good tattoo artist will explain the process, help you feel comfortable, and guide you through every step.
Many first-time clients worry about the pain, but most are surprised by how manageable it is. The key is to stay relaxed, trust your artist, and focus on the end result.
A tattoo is something you'll carry with you for years, so take your time, prepare well, and enjoy the experience. Your first tattoo should be remembered for the right reasons - not because you skipped breakfast.
Cheers :)
